Current Shortage Duration?

Hello:I am relatively new to reloading (6 years).
I want to solicit opinion on folks here about the current shortage of bullets and primers on how long it will last? I am not running short but I need to know how to long so I can "ration" my trips to the range especially when it comes to hand gun reloading.

Be healthy and safe.

Thanks for the responses. Keep them coming.
Bullets that are used for large mass consumption (1000 lots of 9mm and such) are difficult but not impossible to find. Many powders are difficult to find such as Universal Clays. Primers are even more scarce.

Gorji,
In 2009 when the AntiAmerican Obammy illegally obtained the Office of President it took half way through his second term to see things start to taper off and in reality it took getting Trump in to see the selfs full again! If you can do the math that was 8 years! I suggest you vote for Trump and tell every slacker that says my vote don’t count to get off there lazy ass and do the same!

This is only my guess. Thats all any of us can do, is guess. If Trump gets reelected and we get this virus thing under control we could see things return to normal by the end of the year. But if a Democrat gets elected we won't see the end of it for a long time.

This is not the first shortage that we have had and it won't be the last. Most of us have been caught short sometime in the past and used it as a learning lesson to get stocked up when times are good.

In actuality, there really is no shortage. The manufacturers are still producing the same quantities as ever. We create our own problems by panic buying.

Does anyone believe there is an actual shortage of toilet paper? Are you suddenly using twice as much as you did prior to the virus outbreak? The manager of the local Costco told me they still receive the same order as they usually do but it is the first thing off the shelves.

My 25 year old freezer took a dirt nap. Suddenly you can't find one in the stores. Even if you do, the price is now actually the manufactures listed retail price. Usually they are discounted at least 20%. Try to buy pasta. Instead of a large selection of pasta types and brands, if they actually have it, the selections are few.

Now there really is a shortage of meats. The producers are forced to kill off their live stock because of the virus because of lack of people at the processing plants. I live in Maryland. Purdue was forced to kill of two million chickens because there was no one to process them.

In October of last year, it was announced that the makers of Vargat would not be producing any until the end of April of this year. A week later you couldn't find it anywhere.

Any of you buy more than you need because of fear?
