After several underperforming cbi barrels with long wait times, we put a Urban barrel on my buds rifle and his fclass scores are a bit higher. Plus short delivery time.

Looking to do a budget build and considering using a CBI pre-fit. I'd like to hear the good, bad and ugly.

Have had 2-204 Ruger barrels, 1-6 Creedmoor, 1 6BRA barrel, All CBI, ALL Shot Bugholes Zero Complaints

I had problems with a couple 223 barrels maybe 7-10 years ago.
I'm wondering if they had a rough patch but straightened things out since then.

Looking to do a budget build and considering using a CBI pre-fit. I'd like to hear the good, bad and ugly.

I've had 3 of them. 6.5-284 and a 6.5x47 both barrel nut versions for a savage, and a 6BR Remage for a TL3 action. I have been happy with them all. I plan on a shouldered pre-fit for TL3 action to get a fatter barrel. These are all heavy 30" barrels for 1000 and 600 yard bench rest. I like 'em.
