getting ready to do a savage pre fit having trouble deciding between a shilen select and cbi 6mm 26 inch long chambered 6x45 would like to here some comments from the forum thanks

david I don't think you can go wrong with either... think im using 3 shilen's and 4 criterions at the moment in savage actions... cant tell the difference in accuracy... only thing I can see is the shilen might clean just a little easier... but both clean easy.. may just be in my head...I have no reason to try any other maker...
 
Depends on what bullets you wanna shoot.

Shilen Savage Pre-fits usually have short freebore. So they're great for mid weight bullets.

The Criterion pre-fits usually have longer freebore than the Shilens, so they're better for the heavier / longer bullets.

At least that's been my experience.
