Criterion Barrels

I have only owned one. It was slightly used i got from a friend. The thing is a shooter. He has also owned about 20 of them various calibers and all have been very good. Also had a friend build an ar15 with one with good luck. Did not get to see the full potential on that one. He was tight on cash and sold it with about 100 rounds down it.

I've used up 4. 1 in 6 Dasher, 1 in 6BR and 2 in 6GT. All four used in KRG Bravos and Origin and Solus actions shot off of a Joypod x ftr style.

They ALL shot really well. 1500 plus rds before dropping off slowly, easy to clean and maybe 3-5% less accurate than Brux/Bat f-class rifles that I shoot.

I'm a big fan

I have 2 custom chambered shoulder fit CBI's and they shoot great. The current CBI Shouldered pre-fit was an off the shelf 6BRA and this thing is amazing. Connected to an Origin action and Trigger Tech Diamond and Revolution BR stock. All barrels and action from Northland Shooters, stock from Urban Rifleman - not bedded yet. Here's the first 4 range trips with different bullets and mostly lower charge, fire forming loads - though the VTac's were pushing 2890. And after 1400+ rounds, a 600 yd match target.

My current Savage 110 is using a .223 Criterion SS 1-10 heavy profile 26" and has been shooting sub 1/4 moa off a rest with a rear bag. Barrel came from NS and has been better than expected. Nothing fancy but it sure does it's job for me. I use a barrel cooler when things warm up.That 9/2/25 dated target set should have read 8/2/25. Getting old ain't for weenies. Whatta Hobby!

I have had 5-6 and currently have 1 in an 8twist 6br. I have also installed 4-5 for a couple of my shooting buddies. They have all shot outstanding. I would not hesitate to buy one.
5shot group with a load from my other BR. This was with around 1000 rounds on it. The barrel currently has 1450 on it and shoots this load 50fps faster than my newer barrel.

I started using CBI in 2014 for Fclass build, shot great, so several friends tried them with similar results over several years. Begining about three years ago we had four repacement barrels that did not perform up to par, nor did their warranty replacements; so ten in total. I borescoped several and found the rifling was fine but the chambering was poor with radial gouges on the leades. At this time I would not consider a CBI.

Medium Hvy, "Sporter" Barrel, 24" .104 Free Bore, 1-7.5 Tw, ( .707 dia, Muz ) Braked and weigh's, 10.5 pounds.
