For guys that bought this scale and have never used it for a while are you happy with it? Still on the fence about buying it.
define exactly how you use it..what cartridges and what type of shooting. how many rounds loaded in a sessionI have had one for several months! Works like it should! Would buy again if I needed another scale. Got mine when they were on sale for $249!
Thanks for your help. Would you buy again or hold off for something better?I have had mine for about 1 year now. I bought it direct from them in their store. They showed it to me and that really sold me. Speed is good. 6s to get stable When weighing or returning pan to scale. Windscreen is adaptable…easy to open a side. Check/Calibration weights are proper toleranced weights.
Drift is good. Frankly it has a very good anti-drift program. As long as you go weight to 0 to weight to 0….and so on, drift is not a factor. When you go weight to weight to weight to weight to weight, etc… drift causes the weight reading to increase about 0.05 gr over about 15 weighings. Setting the pan empty on the scale corrects the drift and goes back to accurate weighing. It really doesn’t warm up….it is always on, but you can shut off the display. It is about the best thing I have done to my reloading in a while.
There are some cons vs a more expensive scale. First, it should be absolutely level, but there is not a good way to level to the sensor. I wish it had a built in circle level, 3 pt base with 2 leveling feet. I wish it could get stable under 3s. I wish it had an add on dispenser. I also wish it were a magnetic balance….they seem to weigh better from what I read.
Anybody know why all scale windscreens have the hole in the middle?
If I had $350 available, I’d buy that again. It has been very reliable and accurate. Thanks for your help. Would you buy again or hold off for something better?
Between the Creedmoor TRX-925 and the fx-120i, the only thing you give up is a bit of speed and ability to link to autothrow…..but if enough people buy the trx-925, I’ll bet they get together. I spoke to the Creedmoor folks and they were interested. Spoke to Adam and he was not. That said, if the sell enough to be worth his time, i’ll bet he gets interested!Buy once - cry once
Are you placing an empty pan on the scale between weighing/trickling charges? I found doing that eliminated drift.…Mine seems to drift quite a bit. The pan weighs 132.44 grns. I can set tare wt and load very few rounds (5-8) or less and tare will drift anywhere from 132.41-132.49. My tolerance is .04 grn round to round so l have to reset tare weight fairly often. I found using the wind shield made no difference to this so l dont use it. ….
@padom I know who's working on the unit with him and also have seen video of it and seen an early version in person. I think it's going to be a game changer in a couple ways for people, least of which is that it gives people a lower cost of entry for a killer setup like this.
