CRB Barrels for F Open

Hello,

I've seen a couple of posts about these barrels on this site. But otherwise it's pretty deadly quiet about them.

Has anyone had any experience with them? Positive or negative. I'm building a new F Open rifle in 7-6.5 PRCW and am considering putting one on it to get me going.

Perhaps the resident gunsmiths here have chambered some and might offer any insights, or feedback from clients.

Thanks very much!

I have 1 chambered in 7-6.5 PRCW and 2 not yet chambered. I need to shoot it more than the 150 rounds I’ve fired so far but it shoots great. It clean up nicely.. the finish looking through a borescope is incredible if that matters. I really want to see how it holds up with 800-900 shots or more. Photo of target… i went to known load and seating depth and shot thisIMG_0047.png

To be honest there were a few barrels that didn’t meet customer’s expectations on a recent thread here.

On a cartridge/bullets that many have struggled with IMO
The heavy 25s while some have done well others have not. Plus there has been inconsistencies in bullets as I understand it.

I'm not sure I'd have blamed the barrels openly on a public forum but we all gotta do what we gotta do I suppose.

I've got one of CRBs 25 cal barrels and a reamer and it will be getting chambered as soon as there are some bullets available I feel confident in.
