cratering primers 6bR

I am getting some cratering primers, I have about .010 clearance between the pin & the hole, question is I can correct this easily by bushing the bolt head, but will it do anything for accuracy.

chet

ps it is a Savage action

Both of my Savage actions will crater primers if the bullets arn't set to jam the lands.,6 and 22 BR)
A 30 gr. powder load set to jump will show pressure signs.,Stiff bolt lift and cratered primers) That same powder charge with the bullets stuffed into the lands, maybe .005 or .010, will allow me to go higher on the charge with no pressure signs. Something to do with the design of the floating bolt head? Try it yourself and see if it works for you. YMMV.Mike.
,neither of the firing pins are bushed)
