My guess is this Coyote thought 510 yards was far enough away from the house that she could take a stroll accross the north east pasture. Well she was wrong, dead wrong! Stepped out back about 9:00am to glass for deer in the back and spotted her out in the open. Went back inside to grab my 6.5X47, and by the time I got the rifle and a couple rounds, she was almost over a small ridge where I wouldn't be able to see her. Ranged her at 510 so I dialed up 9 MOA plus 6, rested the rifle on the corner of the deck handrail where I just happen to have a 2X6 accross the 90 degree corner (not my first rodeo), waited for her to turn and BOOM!. Short recovery from the recoil, I was able to see feet go up in the air before she rested just out of sight. Fired up the EZ-GO to go see what I had done and this is what I found when I got there. She is not a real big Coyote but she sure ain't gonna get any bigger. Spot on the left rear side is just a spot. Shot her from her right side. I do like this round!
