Cost of Bullets

Below is one shelf unit below my bench, and there are .30 and .50 Cal ammo cans full of bulk bullets as well elsewhere in the shop.

hey, ya' got any ... oh, nevermind. lol

It the scheme of life, component prices for me, can never rise to the level of a problem even though financially someday I might not be able to afford them.
Then, as I said, you have no problem.
You are fortunate. I’m never know what the ‘scheme of life’ actually means.
Uncertainty is the only certain thing.

Exactly , I shot skeet through COVID because I could get shotgun reloading supplies and always wanted to do it.... Actually got to be one of the best skeet shooters at my club but I got that way by actually shooting.... The club made a decision to increase the price of games to stupid expensive.. I decided they were just screwing the shotgun shooters so I stopped doing it , your 100% correct , I will play until I feel you're trying to take advantage of me and I am done and I am not the only one who felt that way.... Many have either completely stopped or are shooting MUCH less or shoot at other clubs which are much nicer...

I myself have many irons in the fire and simply went back to finishing the rifles I have been working on , shooting pistol , rimfire and flat out bought a new tikka hunting rifle I have been tuning.... At least I get to keep that stuff instead of paying stupid high prices , I also switched bullets from the expensive to the medium priced bullets and after working up a load for them I have been getting great results in the new Tikka lite.. These are just Hornady SST I buy at academy.... Nice three shot group... I don't need it to shoot any better and doubt I can shoot it any better using any 6.5 bullet that cost more , and there's plenty that cost a lot more that don't shoot any better...
5 shots. 100 yards… I’m fine with this also

My one shortcoming was having enough primers to use up the powder and bullets I already have. I picked up 7K of various sizes where I could find them. Now I’m good.
Who knows where the prices and availability will go after this election. It could easily get worse. I bought a ton of Sierra bullets when they were $200 a thousand. Something told me to.

I found it quite easy to just not read what doesn’t interest me.
eg: someone posts about what Taylor Swift is doing. I just skip on down.
(She could be a great person, I don’t know. What I do know is I don’t care.)
I don`t care either. Pretty much ruined any interest in football I still had. Good news it frees up a couple of days a week to shoot. I never knew how much crap I don`t care about until I stopped paying attention.

Bullets. Sure. What about brass, powder, primers, scopes, rings, mounts, stocks, range fees, it goes on and on? Eventually they’ll find themselves without any customer base.
Don’t know if anyone noticed Wendy’s one month in office CEO great decision yesterday .
Increased prices during lunch and dinner. People went nuts. Today “clarification “was issued. What he really meant was lunch and dinner time meals stay the same price and off hours will be reduced prices. Really? The English language, while tricky, is not that hard. Irreparable damage? Yup. Came out that Wendy’s (6,000 locations) is the highest price of fast food places.
The first business of business is to stay in business.
White man speak with forked tongue. Those guys were right.

He would not survive the Steelers defense of the early 70's. Joe Green and Jack Lambert would be splattering him all over the field. Kelse would not survive Mel Blount or Mike Wagner. ;) ;) ;)
Man, that was some playin` in those days. Imagine the fines they would levy on that group today!

Doomsday defense, Steel Curtain ,Fearsome foursome , Purple People Eaters, Silver and Black attack. The defense back then was more popular than the offense. Doug

Agree, uncertainty is the only certain thing.

I am fortunate compared to what I saw in the Army in 71. These days I am just trying to roll with the punches like everyone else.

Component prices are fun to bitch about but it ain't worth getting upset about.

I loved watching Joe Montana, EVERY Chance I could,.. Man was He,. "Good" and He had, some of, the BEST Receiver's, too ! They made some, Amazing catches !
For Me,.. Football WAS,. "Fun", in those Days !
I only watch the Super Bowl, now,.. Fudge 'em, as most are, Woke sissy, Millionaires !
Hopefully SOME of, the Bullet and Powder, "Hoarding" is, slowing, Down,.. maybe ?

If you like free markets understand one thing, when our economy is booming as it is the last 3 years, manufacturers are going to charge what buyers are willing to pay!

If you don't like free markets, move to Venezuela they have what you want, cheap gas, cheap food, cheap housing, but you better take your money with you, cause you ain't gonna like what you find there!

We all want to have more but far to many expect that without understanding so do others, learn to put up with it, been this way Fer the 7 decades I've witnessed. The only time things go down, is when buyers can't afford them. When the economy stops getting better, prices will stop going up. Just the way free markets operate!
