What advantages does a 20 practical have over the 204 ruger?

Will a Redding .223 FL S die with the proper bushing work?Advantages: Barrel life, brass cost, no caliber specific dies needed, you can use .223s,
Disadvantages: Factory built guns and ammo widely available, if reloading, no neck down process, small gain in velocity.
Yes, with some modification. remove the .223 button and replace it with a .20 caliber one. I use two bushings and two steps to neck down. Final bushing size is dependent on loaded round diameter and desired neck tension. After the first firing, I dont use the button. One caveat with this round, unless one wants to work with different size bushings, stay with one brand of brass as .223 neck thickness varies quite a bit across manufacturers. Will a Redding .223 FL S die with the proper bushing work?
They had a $30 off sale in Feb. I put a 11tw on order for not much more than a stainless 12tw green mountain. Looking forward to getting this 20 Practical together.
It looks like you got an 11 twist. Even better!Received the barrel in less than 2 weeks.
Yeah, thats what made me go with the X-Caliber over the Green Mountain. It looks like you got an 11 twist. Even better!
Recommendations?Black hole, X-caliber, white oak. Shilen might, but they only list a .204 Ruger caliber.
I'm still in building mode of my first one. Just ordered the reamer. I'm using an 11tw X-caliber blank, and my gunsmith @300rum will turn and chamber it.Recommendations?
