I pulled at 30br out of my safe and shot it this weekend. Hadn't shot it on 5 years I guess. I looked at the bolt and it still had grease on it. Don't think I cleaned it after the last match I shot it at, 5years ago. Didn't clean it before the match and placed first with it. I then thought.... do I really need to clean them that much????

On my boat 65 miles out of the Golden Gate and the 51lbs Striper was in the California Delta just as it dumps into SF bay. The striper was released. Cleaned many of barrel and fish, I think I would rather clean fish because after you get to eat good!

My comment was referencing the fact that 30 BR’s will shoot a verrry long time without the need for cleaning. I will normally not clean before the end of the 5 card Agg, and sometimes not until I get home.

Never seen a bore that clean aside from a brand new barrel that hadn't even been chambered yet.

I feel you are correct! Everyone is had seemed to shoot better dirty.
