I ordered a Stella Artois Saturday for a Belgian-raised friend. It was his favorite beer you see… a lager with a 600-year history.
He took a sip, then winced and practically spit it out.
I then tried some. Yep, flat and weird tasting with kind of a nasty metallic chemical finish. Really, really BAD.
I was puzzled because I’d had Stellas in Europe and they were pretty good for a standard type. (I’m more of an IPA fan).
Went home, did some research and found out that Stella Artois is made in USA now by Anheuser Busch. That explains it…
I called the restaurant and told them they should warn customers. And sent an email to Anheuser Busch product support letting them know how bad their fake Stella is…
Now I’ll add another complaint about this Bud Lite “Trans in a Can” woke nonsense.
