Changed Scope Rings

Good Evening,

I just change my scope rings from medium to low rings. How will it change the impact point of the bullet? Me thinks the POI will be higher. Anyone else have any opinions?

Could be anywhere depending on the similarity or otherwise of the rings. Mathematically, your hypothesis sounds correct.

Who knows where it will end up after changing rings. It will have to be re-zeroed from scratch. Level the scope, bore sight, shoot, adjust.

But theoretically, it should give your scope more elevation adjustment...provided the new rings are not canted rearward. Always lap your rings to help eliminate any imperfections in machining. A few thou or more higher or lower in the front or rear makes a difference in scope rings.
