Important Policy Change for Shooters' Forum Classifieds:
Starting 1/1/2020, basic members, who have not upgraded, will get THREE (3) free ads in a 12-mo period. Previously, the limit was FIVE (5).
NOTE: All members can continue to post classifieds. However basic members will be limited to three (3) free Classified Ad threads in a 12-month period, starting with the date of their first classifieds thread. Any thread started in the Classifieds zone counts toward the 3-thread limit: For Sale, For Trade, Want to Buy.
NOTE: This three-thread limit goes into effect January 1, 2020.
We have made this change because, with over 48,000 members, our Classifieds system has been consuming a huge amount of administrative resources and our server costs continue to climb. Competitive sites charge significant fees for sales.
Why Pay? Consider this. If you were to sell just ONE $1500.00 rifle on Gunbroker.com, you would pay $58.75 in seller fees. That's more than our 12-mo Gold membership, and that's just for ONE $1500.00 sale. Gunbroker Fee Calculator: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/calculatefinalvaluefee
Silver and Gold members will continue to get unlimited Classifieds for 12 months from the start of their membership.
With this new system the basic level user can still post three (3) ads for free. However, the power users who sell many items will now be asked to help support the site. The $25 Silver membership works out to just $2.08 per month -- the price of a cup of coffee.
