As Mr. Lambeth suggested the NRA Summer Gunsmith classes are great. I can personally recommend the one at Lassen Community College in Susanville CA. It's about a nine hour trip from Ogden but worth it. Google it and you can look at last years schedule and class description.

Do the NRA Summer Gunsmithing class. You'll learn from a real gunsmith, not just someone who happens to own a lathe.

How far is Trinadad CO from you??? They offer a short course as well. I was ready to sign up myself, then on tow seperate occasions from two seperate folks told me not to and just come over to there house and they would teach me....
