Had a moment of clarity a while back and bought some sharpening gauges. That'll open your eyes if you sharpen bits by hand for roughing work. And not in a flattering way.

I can sharpen drills by hand pretty well. Even large ones.

But we got this baby about 5 years ago. It will sharpen anything from a 1/4 inch drill to 4 inches. It makes the perfect point that is even named after the machine.

some you old timers might know what it is. Any guesses?

Is that a Sterling?
I've never seen one of that size before.
