Chamber and cutting fluids?

I was wondering if anyone is using Blaser swiss lube water based coolant for chambering especially and for threading and normal machining. The machining part im fairly familiar with I work with CNC equipment and we use the Blaser in them. But am curious as to how well it would do on chambering a rifle for coolant flush type chambering.

I use Blaser in my surface grinder. It works well for that purpose. I now use Venom Viper for chambering and threading. It is just excellent.

First question:

Are you using a flush system or are you lubing reaming and cleaning etc.

Coolant lubricants are engineered for specific properties. There are two schools of thought on the flushing of barrels during chambering. 1. Heavy, high sulfer, cutting oils, either natural oils or synthetic. These require a higher horsepower gearhead pump to deliver at the presure needed. 2. There are high viscosity extreme presure coolant lubbicants, these are usually synthetic, semi-synthetic, and water soluable. These coolant lubricants work on two fronts, heat reduction and lubrication. They require less hoursepowder gearpumps. I use the second type (Rustlick 255R) and get great chamber finishes and have reamers that have over 2,000 chambers cut with them and no regrinds.
I have only cut 3 chambers the old way in the last year and I used Bob Pasters Vipers venom all 3 times with no regrets. Bob and I have discussed trying the vipers venom in my flush system. My system recycles and I don't know how the vipers venom would do through my 2 micron filter.
Time may tell.

Im currently just applying by brush but I have a coolant pump that is built into my lathe and I am looking for other ways of chambering. I have been using a tap/cutting fluid but would like to get set up with a chamber flush system more preferably do to the increased speed and also keeping chips of of the barrel. what kind of horsepower is used for the chamber flush with the heavier weight stuff. Is Blaser heavy enough for reaming chambers as well.

There have been many previous post on this subject. I can't recomend enough the use of a gearhead pump. Your lathe coolant pump most likely can non produce the volumn or preasure needed. I make closed systems. My pump and reservoir are on casters so they can be moved from lathe to lathe. I catch and return my coolant lubricant with a modified bread pan. I use a 1" hose back to the reservoir. Put earth magnets in the catch pan to hold swarf. I bought my pump (3/8" Shurtec carborated gear pump with 125 psi bipass) from MSC. I use a 15 gallon reservoir, and a whole house 2. micron water filter. I use ball valves to control my preasures. There are pictures already on this website, BR-Central, home shop machinist, and practical machinist web sites.
Good Luck

Find yourself an old fuel oil furnace and take the pump and motor off and use that, it will work for a long time if you keep the swarf from getting back in to the geared pump head and most of them will put out enough volume and pressure.
