Anyone else find this powder difficult to work with? I find it sticks to everything, and is difficult to handle in general. I pulled a few rounds and couldn't get it off my hands or completely out of the cases. Not easy to weigh rounds and trickle either.
Bug eyes or bug hole's ?CFE 223 is very dirty and leaves a lot of residue in the chamber and barrel. Fire ten rounds in an AR class of rifle and then pull the bolt carrier group and your hands will be filthy and carbon buildup will be starting to build up. Almost impossible to repeatedly measure accurately. I've found it to be temperature sensitive.
Tried in my my custom built benchrest .223 and the best I could get were .50 groups. Varget gets me bug eyes and mostly less than .20 groups and it is very stable in changing temperature.
Bug holes, but I am sure you knew what I meantBug eyes or bug hole's ?
I found it to leave heavy carbon fouling also in certain rifles ???? so quit using it, needed to sight in a 338 Federal pistol barrel not wanting to burn up something good I decided to burn up the CFE 223 left overs and to try different bullet weights not expecting much, But after the groups I got I am now going to buy more, seems like every bore is not the same
Pick a powder fro the load maps on: https://www.accurateshooter.com/cartridge-guides/223rem/
Some may be less suitable for a gas gun?
