CFE223 my least favorite powder

Sounds like you may have a Static Charge problem in your reloading work shop . Try wiping down your stuff with a Dryer sheet your problem should go away Hope it helps

Running this in .224 Valkyrie and producing nice results. I plan on trying it out in .223 once I use up all my H335.

CFE 223 is very dirty and leaves a lot of residue in the chamber and barrel. Fire ten rounds in an AR class of rifle and then pull the bolt carrier group and your hands will be filthy and carbon buildup will be starting to build up. Almost impossible to repeatedly measure accurately. I've found it to be temperature sensitive.

Tried in my my custom built benchrest .223 and the best I could get were .50 groups. Varget gets me bug eyes and mostly less than .20 groups and it is very stable in changing temperature.

Another thing mentioned and this is probably your major problem. Make sure all your equipment is cleaned and treated with some sort of static prevention. This can be a issue with many of the smaller grain powders, especially the ball type.

Bug eyes or bug hole's ?

I found it to leave heavy carbon fouling also in certain rifles ???? so quit using it, needed to sight in a 338 Federal pistol barrel not wanting to burn up something good I decided to burn up the CFE 223 left overs and to try different bullet weights not expecting much, But after the groups I got I am now going to buy more, seems like every bore is not the same

That is the decoppering agent.

Anyone else find this powder difficult to work with? I find it sticks to everything, and is difficult to handle in general. I pulled a few rounds and couldn't get it off my hands or completely out of the cases. Not easy to weigh rounds and trickle either.
Life is way to short. Don't use it. Is this difficult?

but ...but...an AR can fire 5 billion rds without cleaning :D

No problems here.

I run it in 223 and 204 both gas and bolt guns.
Meters very well, and behaves very well during load development work.
And, I have run it in weather from cold to hot without anything unusual to speak of.
