Interesting news concerning Cerberus, Remington and Bushmaster. Remember, Cerberus also recently purchased,in process) Chrysler Corp. they are also a real estate player. They're a big private equity firm invested in all types of industries and they are very creative.

Well, when I saw that Cerberus acquired Bushmaster and THEN took over Remington I was intrigued, but I never thought there would be a wholescale replacement of Remington Execs with the Bushmaster team. But I think this clearly exposes Cerberus's plan for Remington--become a player in the defense industry.

Remington will die catering only to Fudds.

The AR15 market is BY FAR the fastest growing segment in ALL of the firearms industry. I would guess defensive handguns comes second and Cowboy Action Shooting is third.

Cerberus is smart moving Remington in that direction.

Cerebus's recent move to bring IBA,Iron Brigade Armory) on board to do R&D for their Remington-based tactical and sniper rifles is another smart move.

There will be some very interesting developments along this line that we'll be hearing about in the near future.

It's about time that Remington's management was brought into the twentyfirst century.
