CCI NATO Large Rifle Primers

Thanks but I'll remain unconvinced any are of a safe design for civilian use when the firing pin is left floating.
Don't think ANYBODY in combat using any of the above listed guns worried about a "slam fire" or floating firing pin. Probably no issues trying to single feed at that time. As long as it went BANG, they were good to go.

Well... I wouldn't use absolutes in any LEO/Mil discussion because there have been instances of AD, injuries, and even fratricide due to poor gun handling that were blamed on slam fire with semi-auto and full auto small arms. Nothing about live training or combat is idiot proof.

That said, I agree with your point. This is a gun handling and training issue for shooters/soldiers/LEOS and a QC issue for the primer/ammo folks. When there is any break in discipline, bad things can and have happened. (I heard there was a recent accident at the ammo plant just the other day with primers being moved and there was an unfortunate fatality.)

It really is incumbent on us all to guard against slam fire with our maintenance and gun handling, as well as our self imposed QC on our loading.

Of course not, they trusted their superiors to issue them with a weapon and ammunition fit for purpose.

My issue is with this type of weapon in civilian use especially with reloaded ammo when the reloader might not be aware that mil rated primers need be used to reduce the chance of slam fire.

Let's not feed the anti gun fraternity with any more ammunition (excuse pun) to restrict firearm users when instead we should be insisting these types of weapon need be made safer by their manufacturers.
