This is not the time!

Don’t forget “The Hunger Games” Slightly different context, tho. Crazy weirdo city folks making poor country folk fight each other.

A wonderful short story - one of my favorites. The difference being that Zaroff (the hunter) was portrayed as a one-off kook on an island isolated from the rest of the civilized world (clearly the antagonist) and Rainsford (the hunted, the protagonist) was a fellow just minding his own business until his ship was lured into the rocks just off Zaroff's island, leading to his capture and being hunted for sport. It is crystal clear to the reader of this story who wears the white hat and who wears the black hat.

What we're dealing with today is quite different. Zaroff is now 'mainstream'. Rainsford represents what must be silenced, exterminated, eliminated, erased - whatever you wish to call it.

Read 'The Most Dangerous Game'. Then, read 'Animal Farm'. Then, sit down and think about it.

Police and military have all the guns they need to take yours

If they want to get "ALL" of my weapons they better forget about their guns and invest in ground penetrating sonar......they aint gettin' all of them anyway. And they aint prying them "from my cold dead hands" for a very costly while yet.

Killing a human without due process is illegal.

That’s the crux of the challenge we face today: ensuring that Democrats fail in their goal of changing how what we can call ‘due process’ today into something much more akin to what Pol Pot, A.H. or Joseph Stalin brought to their countries.

And movies have already been made:

The Killing Fields

Schindler’s List

Stalin’s Last Purge (and he was real busy for years before this story played out)

...
for a few.

So your 2 ar15s are going to stop a Bradley fighting vehicle.
60% or more of police officers in the US will gladly confiscate your weapons.

And they'll be coming to do that in a Bradley? I seriously doubt it.

This whole business of concocting worst-case scenarios, debating them ad nauseum at a shooting forum, even to the point of making what pretty much amount to threats from those that are on the side of law enforcement, as well as those that are not, is utterly ridiculous.

Think about these things? Absolutely.

Then make absolutely sure you vote. Everything will turn out ok.

This is all about a MOVIE,,Universal has decided not to put it out to theaters at this time, but you might be able to get it somewhere.

Works both ways - that is why we have the 1st Amendment. Get some smart conservative Hollywood guy like John Voight to produce a film showing how and when evil governments have eliminated millions of unarmed, unorganized humans. Killing a human without due process is illegal. The obnoxious film guys think this is cute and will give any number of "nut buckets" and extreme radical hateful individuals a "warm glow" and establish a new trend in creative film making thus establishing them as the new "film giants".

Possibly, if the same group of "nut buckets" or extreme radical hateful individuals kidnapped and released humans for sport hunting these film producers could be drawn into some $ Zillion law suit on the basis their film exceeded their 1st Amendment rights by encouraging and advocating a "hate crime" . For them - let no good tragedy go to waste.
I will pitch in to get that movie made. What do you say, John?

By the time that have Bradley’s in the street the whole country will have a lot bigger issues to worry about... But those damn drones scare the hell out of me!

60% of the cops in San Francisco and the Bay Area and LA might be willing but I can tell you where I live in California 95% won’t be willing to disarm what were law abiding people. It will/would be different everywhere.

Even if things ever do kick off everyone in the military will still have to pick sides. Just because Trump or say Bernie is president it doesn’t mean everyone in the military will stand behind them in a civil war.

Interesting points fellas,In the midwest Police tend to be conservative. In liberal areas the police are persecuted !Where in does brotherhood lye ?

If Patrick Henry were alive today and said: "Give me liberty or give me death," in a state with some of the proposed Red Flag laws he might be considered crazy and have his guns removed. Many of the comments made in this forum would be considered enough of a reason by some people to seek to institute some of the proposed Red Flag laws. The number of people that are unfamiliar with firearms and see them as a threat has risen in many areas of the country (generally cities and high population areas). Hunting, personal protection, pest control, and the challenge and enjoyment of target shooting are not good reasons for then to allow for an armed citizenry to exist. They want to Second Amendment to be abolished!

I remember a tank in Tinnamin Square that was stopped by a young man standing his ground in front of it. He didn't have a gun in his hand. Even in a totalitarian country were all the guns are in the hands of the government there are law enforcement people who will have compassion for those willing to stand there ground. I think with a Second Amendment there might be a lot more LEO who will not be willing to use their power on innocent law abiding citizens.

And then, the Chinese government sent the uncooperative Beijing garrison, the 27th Army of the PLA, to their barracks, arrested the commanding officers, arrested the "tank man", and brought up two armies from the south that had no sympathy for the students. The slaughter began and the officers and the "tank man" were never seen again.

An excellent example of what despots can do to an unarmed populace when they lose patience.
