Yeah, I try not to get drawn into all the hype based around the big money advertisers. I understand the hype, I mean it does keep the bills paid right. But doesn't mean I need to run out and buy it. As long as my SD & ES numbers are good, and I'm getting the most accuracy out of my firearms that is possible regardless of what press, die, annealer, lube, funnel, comparator, etc that I use... Then I'm content. You can't necessarily make a $1,500 - $2,000 gun shoot like an $8k gun.My thoughts on "reasonably" priced stuff is :
Annealez Annealer ; Lesser cost than many others , and very useable and consistent .
R.C.B.S. Trim-Pro II , with 3-way Cutter Head . Holds to + or - .001
Redding Type "S" , F/L Die
Hornady , Cam-LOK Bullet Puller
I use a LEE Neck sizing Collet Die to punch primers because I had it , and it does a good job of punching out the old primers , even after polishing the stem down for doing Lapua Palma Cases . Six years and have broken the "Stem" yet . And they're pretty cheap , with replaceable Stems .
Sinclair "Expander" DIE ...Many companies make expanders that fit this Die .
Many items can be gotten cheap , and they don't have to be the "Flavor of the Month" to work well .
