Hi Everyone
When I got started in this activity,so glad I did too,I had nothing but Lee 's lube(came with the kit);I read in Richard Lee's manual(pretty good and funny in my opinion btw, well documented if partial and Lee oriented)that they made a deal with a company specialising in car wax(the best in the indutry as Mr Lee claims..)to get provided with it as a cartridge lube(water soluble, very economical & efficient,so I thought when I began using it);then I started evolving towards other skies(RCBS dies,Forster,RCBS N°2 lube-given by a friend),I sort of changed my mind from "Lee exclusive freak" to "why not try something else might do me good",especially since I got involved with you gentlemen and this fabulous forum(but how costly it turns out);so to make it short(funny I say this)when I got my Forster Ultradie set,I tried using the full sizer on a 7x64 case lubed with Lee's stuff and it didn't work,I thought I was gonna end up with a stuck case in the brand new die;I wiped the case and relubed it with RCBS 2 lube and wow,the case got swallowed deep throat by the die, just like a charm...I had also noticed before that the Lee lube(water soluble remember)tends to rust the inside of your dies if you don't clean and oil them after use, they don't mention this issue on the tube nor in the manual.I suppose RCBS 2(water soluble too)does the same thing without it beeing advertised just the same,so there's no miracle recipe apparently, try various stuff and see,and make sure you clean your dies after use, especially if you have Redding's.Maybe Johnson furniture wax might do,I'll give it a go one day,at least it won't rut the die's innards...Take care gentlemen,Hi Wayne still out there I see mate!
