cartridge options?

I have an option on an old Superior Action (1960's) action rifle. it started as a small bolt face (222) but was opened to PPC. I do not think it can be opened further. I am not a big fan of making cases, and would only use it as a live varmint gun. Any ideas of a possible cartridge that would work or am I stuck with PPC? (it has two, a 6 and 22)

Ideas?

Ok, what case is it formed from??

It uses the 220 Russian as the parent case. It will send a 52 gr. bullet at 3,600 fps with great accuracy as well. You can set it up for no neck turn as well, and very easy to load.

Gene said the only difference is the radius at the neck shoulder juncture. It helps keep the neck from migrating forward. Mine is a no neck turn. I am waiting on the stock to be completed.

This is a mini mauser with custom rings and bases. Karl Feldkamp machined the receiver, Mike Bryant chambered the barrel, and Kerry Stottlemyer did the 3 pos safety, scope rings, and bases. Dean Zollinger is,hopefully, completing the stock and doing the rust blue.

Why not the 6.5 Gren. Have it twisted for the lighter side of bullets(87-123) and use the better BC's. Or is the 6 and 22 the cal of the bbls that come with it ?

Come with what? My mini mauser came with a PPC bolt face. It was a 7.62X39 barreled action that I bought new 25 yrs. ago. It was then a 270AI improvedX39, sames as what a 270PPC would be like. A great kid's deer rifle and very accurate. It will be a 220Russian(Beggs) because that is what I want.
I have 6.5X55, 6.5X47Lapua, and a 260. I really don't want or need another 6.5. The 6.5 Grendel is an interesting cartridge though.

No Butch, I was refering to the OP's post not yours. I thought that the 6.5 Gren would make a nice little live varmint case for him.

The rifle has a 6 and 22 PPC barrel, and they are tired. I was going to buy it because there were only 31 Superiors made, and they have some historical interest due to lineage at HArt, Shilen etc. I have decided to pass and let another collector get it. I was just considering a cartridge that would fit the bolt face without having to fiddle too much making cases, and was looking for something I might have overlooked.

Thanks for the suggestions!
