Carbon fiber LRB

Now go treat yourself to some "Red Breast" 12 year old Irish.
I may be putting the Rye aside for a time !!

Thats a light fill LRB, not a foam fill. No problem getting these, other than the normal McMillan lead time. McMillan calls this pattern "carbon ambush". Normally you see earth tones in the hunting stocks. But, they will use any colors you want. Out of all the ones I have ordered the red carbon ambush is the best looking and Brett did a great job on this one. When the new owners took over they stopped letting me order the foam filled LRB. I could probably get them to make me stocks with nothing in the shell forward of the action and pour in my own foam. Its not a difficult process but for some reason they dont want to do it. The foam fill went against common "knowledge" about stocks. Its not a stiff stock, at least in my mind it helps the front of the rifle come up under recoil and aids in positive compensation. We saw less climb on target in our ladders with them. Not many guys ordered them, but the ones that did have done well. Dave Way is one that has a foam fiberglass stock, its been exceptional.

Thank you.
I've only done only 2 or 3 of the foam fill and was curious why I didn't see it anymore. It a shame the new owners didn't carry forward with something that obviously worked well.
Hopefully this won't be the last Ambush LRB I get to do, it really was fun.
I can't help to think a light to medium blue with sky blue candy would be pretty stellar.

Yes had someone ask the other day if I could do the same I was like are you serious. His reply deadly serious OK your paying no worries . You will have to wait 8 weeks as I'm off contract shooting .
