I'm looking for someone with some woodworking chops to tell me if this Fajen laminate can be brought up to code so to speak. My issue is the 1970s flair in the comb shaping. I'd like the right side of the comb shaved (the ridge makes lefty shooting uncomfortable if needed).
And the left side of the comb has no thumb relief to it. Most modern sporter stocks have some symmetry to this area.

If anyone thinks this is a simple fix, or can recommend someone. Please let me know, I wouldn't think it would be too cost prohibitive as there is no finish to be reapplied.
