Here's a thought :

It looks to me like some very wise men, once indicated that they believed that they (and I believe, we) have a right and a duty. They put it all on the line for freedom and I believe that was the best choice then and always, regardless of the outcome. Freedom ain't free and the alternative ain't acceptable.

The only reason it remains here is due to you resurrecting it. I removed my posts and moved on, after realizing that to remain an NRA member, own guns, hunt, shoot and have my own opinions, required me to be a lifelong member of the Republican party. Nor was I aware that all gun owners are members of the Republican party, and that all NRA members are Republicans. I'll offer my money and support to a more appreciative party that doesn't place demands on their supporters.

The Party you briefly "left" 2 days is a good fit for you. The Party of Carter offers much more than those waskelly republicans. Come erection morning they'll bus you to the voting booth, ...and you can do it all over again in the adjoining precinct by voting by proxy for some long deceased party member....and in some locations you can do this all day long. Life is good.

I have listened to this "democrat" many times, and the principles he avows, the maintenance of traditions, the abuse of powers to "secure" the people are very relevant today and if this is what it means to be a democrat, then count me in.

Obama spoke of affordable healthcare and being able to keep your Dr. If you like them.. He most always says the complete opposite of his intentions.. Dems have a knack of suggesting republicans are doing what they are actually doing... When watching Dems speak I look for what they are trying to lay the blame on others for, laying the ol' smoke screen... I guess we will never know if JFK was a good speaker or true to his word..

If the US ever has to go to war again it will be interesting how many of those mothers with children old enough for the draft will feel about little junior and Rachita fighting with NO experience in firearms or hunting while growing up.

This one never has or ever will. We need voter competency tests now more than ever before, because so many voters do not want to know or understand current events. They end up voting away their future and the future of our country. Since our schools have just about done away with teaching Civics and American history, those students who will someday vote, will be too dumbed down to know what they are voting for or voting away.

Destroy our history by not teaching it will eventually destroy our Nation.

RIGHT ON Rick, marksmanship is our "Rifleman's Creed" which most Marines know by heart. The "CREED" was printed on the inside cover of my score book.

Received my first rifle and taught how to safely use it when I was 6 years old. 12 years later as a Marine, I received my EXPERT RIFLEMAN MEDAL every year I was in the Corps.

Easy for you to say. The recent election proved how outnumbered conservatives are in CA. Didn't used to be that way until the liberals came to power and started handing out the freebees to everybodies brother and kids. But when you know what it must have felt like to live in the Alamo where the idiots and dopers (like Newsome) live and rule, you have some choices to make. You can move I suppose (like many have and are dong), or stay and fight them, even at the risk of becoming a "criminal" for possessing that which the liberals vote to take away. Of course, it's always nice to have relatives living in other states where none of the Newsom foolishness or kiss-azz lefties exist with power. So the choice is each man's and only theirs. One thing for sure, Newsome, Brown and the rest of those f...ing Morons can kiss my rosie reds.

Like Alex I've been alive and lived here long enough to remember Republican governors and the state being pretty evenly balanced.
