California Becomes 1st State to Outlaw Sale of Glock, Similar Semi-Auto Pistols

This is why it's important for all gun owners to stick together and support each other and for non Californians to bring the fight to Cali instead of isolating the gun owners in Cali. Remember that when things take hold in one state it makes it easier to enact in others.

A lot of people loose track that there are over 12.7 Million gun owners in Cali.( thats one of the biggest group of gun owners in the country). I see it happen on this site all the time... people list things for sale but won't ship to Ca. when in actuality Ca. it's hard to ship to, there are states that are way harder. We buy and sell guns here everyday. If we stick together we can beat it, if we let them divide us they will win.

One thing you have to remember there are lots of liberal's that have jumped ship from Ca. for others states so a lot of the people you refer too are actually liberal, they screwed things up in Ca. and then jumped ship, its their MO, they did it with Oregon and Washington too. There are a lot of Conservatives here standing our ground and need fellow gun owners to stand with us not alienate us. People forget Ca. was the "OG" of states that people from every other state flocked to and ruined, overpopulated, drove up prices. Everyone wanted to be here.
According to the numbers on this thread you’re outnumbered over 3 to 1 in your state. What is it exactly that anyone is supposed to do to “stick together, not alienate/isolate” the Californians?

I still think that stopping the spread would be best, but not possible.

The problem with CA and NY which im living in is that they pass the laws faster than they can be struck down. Itll be months if not years for alot of these laws to be taken to court and move up the ladder. By the time its struck down or upheld, they have another one ready to go.

People think that those in government are stupid, but they manipulated a majority of a population to vote for them, so they cant be that dumb. They know what they are doing, and they are aware that the only people the laws hurt are those that follow them.
NY knows no shame. Safe Act "registration" ran at a whopping <4 percent compliance. So they spun up Safe Act 2. Since that didn't work, they will eye California stuff.
This coming from the same leadership that supported Covid shutdowns, mandatory return to nursing homes of the sick with covid, the move to a $15, then $20 minimum wage that has destroyed the entire restaraunt and service industry, tanked the local economy. Meanwhile they tax the living crap out of property...so much that a mortgage asnd taxes monthly are similar, only taxes never end. Now with a wasteland Upstate, those same people who are SHOCKED that there is rampant inflation (oh ya, they supported the printed Covid money) are "doing the right thing". They are generously giving everyone (everyone whether you work or not) a TAX refund of up to $400 to "ease the hurt from Trump caused inflation". And people with the brain of a chipmunk are happy and voting them back in. Nevermind that the money was stolen from working people in the first place after the value of what they made was deflated in the first place by a%% backwards economics. Ya, NY is a flaming dumpster. Glad I left.

Isn’t that the only solution? Move. I realize that it’s just buying time because the crap just spreads, but trying to change it in those areas seems foolish. I only wish that the ones moving would assimilate every time.

Not going to be on a 4473, its going to be like ammo. Cannot ship direct to you and requires a background check. I guess I'm just going to buy Kreigers new truck axels from now on.
I would agree, I dont believe it is a gun part until it is threaded, chambered or made to fit a gun.
Until then it is just a pipe
I guess y'all better get yourself a UPS Store box in another state.

My guess is that barrel makers aren't going to ship to California at all. Not worth the risk or hassle.

Just keep in mind there is a group of people that own the big firearms OEMs that are pretty much unaffected by these stupid laws, shipping regulations, etc etc They want everyone out of the gun business but themselves. Same thing they did during COVID. Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart, Target, etc etc were open for business and booming. While Mom and pop shops got the cops called on them for being open.
Inform the barrel maker they are not a regulatory agency,
There are some Mfgr's who understand law and that such things abrogate inherent constitutional rights
(Inherent meaning just because you are alive)
it should get overturned as much as the High Cap Mag thing kept getting ruled Unconstitutional
-------------
Miranda v. Arizona, 384 US 436, 491. “The claim and exercise of a constitutional right cannotbe converted into a crime.”
---
Davis v. Wechsler , 263 US 22, 24. “Where rights secured by the Constitution are involved, there can be no rule making or legislation which would abrogate them.”
---
Scheuer v. Rhodes, 416 U.S. 232, 94 S. Ct. 1683, 1687 (1974)Note: By law, a judge is a state officer. The judge then acts not as a judge, but as a privateindividual (in his person). When a judge acts as a trespasser of the law, when a judge does notfollow the law, the Judge loses subject-matter jurisdiction and the judges' orders are notvoidable, but VOID, and of no legal force or effect. The U.S. Supreme Court stated that "when astate officer acts under a state law in a manner violative of the Federal Constitution, he comesinto conflict with the superior authority of that Constitution, and he is in that case stripped of hisofficial or representative character and is subjected in his person to the consequences of hisindividual conduct. The State has no power to impart to him any immunity from responsibility tothe supreme authority of the United States.

Murdock v. Pennsylvania, 319 U.S. 105"No state shall convert a liberty into a license, and charge a fee
therefore."
---
There is already Case Precedence set in such matters with a final :
Shuttlesworth v. City of Birmingham, Alabama, 373 U.S. 262
"If the State converts a right (liberty) into a privilege, the citizen can ignore the license and fee and engage in the right (liberty) with impunity.

Not like California gun laws are working as they are supposed to (see below.) Not one of the restrictions has been shown to have any appreciable effect on crime, as can be expected. Criminals (by definition) don't follow gun laws, much as they don't follow laws in general.

I suspect that California's liberal side is trying to make participating in shooting so legally convoluted and expensive that people will simply skip it. It may be working.

Yes. I recently bought one of the PTG Drakkar actions on sale for $500 and had it shipped to my local FFL. Transfers here are $150 and up due to all the paperwork hassle. My safety certificate had expired so I had to take the test again for $35 so now my "cheap" action is now $685. Oh but there is more.... CA passed an additional(double) tax on guns and ammunition so there another 20% to add bringing my $500 action to a grand total of $785.
I will never buy a new gun here again.

I haven't read the entirety of the bill (talking about the barrel-FFL thing), but if it's like the ammunition background check law,
Yes, you go through a state run eligibility check.

(d) Commencing July 1, 2027, a licensed firearms dealer shall electronically submit to the department the information required by subdivision (c) for all sales and transfers of ownership of a firearm barrel.

It’s going to become almost moot with Glock doing a total redesign and it’s looking like they may discontinue the older models. Word has it they’ve already stopped shipping to CA. The CA Glock ban goes into effect 01/01/2026

The bill:
The new model, the Glock V platform eliminates the possibility of using a switch.

The morons have a strong voting block. Doug
The unions are solid Democrat and their minions vote in lockstep. 40% of California voters went for Trump. It's just that the teachers and prison guards call the tune and their members all show up to vote.
Not to mention the masterful Gerrymandering organized by Willie Brown, Esq during his decade of being speaker of the house in the state government. It's about to get even worse as the new Gerrymandering proposal will marginalize the conservative voters completely.

We haven't been able to get a glock design newer than gen 3 since 2014 with the stupid microstamping law and roster.

Follow the law??? Road trip across the border. Rent a car with out of STATE PLATES just in case SOMEONE is checking license plates is the parking lot. Don't like hearing that idea? Don't read it!!! Had enough yet??? :(
