California Becomes 1st State to Outlaw Sale of Glock, Similar Semi-Auto Pistols

I guess y'all better get yourself a UPS Store box in another state.

My guess is that barrel makers aren't going to ship to California at all. Not worth the risk or hassle.

Just keep in mind there is a group of people that own the big firearms OEMs that are pretty much unaffected by these stupid laws, shipping regulations, etc etc They want everyone out of the gun business but themselves. Same thing they did during COVID. Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart, Target, etc etc were open for business and booming. While Mom and pop shops got the cops called on them for being open.

Political alignment aside; I'm trying to figure out how a single 17 shot burst is going to do more damage than 17 carefully aimed shots. The guys that are using these for gang violence are mostly ignorant of anything but pulling a trigger.

It's all about the drive by, and readily being able to get a poor mans MAC.....

I haven't read the entirety of the bill (talking about the barrel-FFL thing), but if it's like the ammunition background check law, it makes both non-FFL transfers, and importing of whatever they're talking about illegal. In the case of ammo, sure, you can go to Nevada or Arizona and stock up, which is perfectly legal, but you can't bring it into the state without having a check done at an FFL. I would assume the barrel law will be worded the same.

Like most gun laws, this will affect only those people who actually follow the law, and not the criminal element.

Well, I guess that would put the responsibility of determining FFL and all that on the barrel shipper...

These laws are passed by legislators who understand nothing of actual firearms and tactics. All they see are wannabe gangstas whose idea of fun is to spray a bunch of rounds at a crowd.

It's important to remember that, there are more Republicans in the state of CA. then any other state. yes, we are currently losing the battle but, some of us can't leave and are still here fighting behind enemy lines and need the help of others. there are crazy liberal areas in almost every state. so please send relief packages consisting of guns, ammo, and now barrels, to Ca. freedom fighter. 123 Main St. komifornia. 92345

Careful! They might label you as a Rightwing Extremist. It doesn’t matter that you’re just fighting for your Constitutional rights. You don’t agree with them so you’re a “fascist”. What I find most ironic is that the left says it’s “trying to save America.” Can someone please explain that one to me?

I guess the folks in blue will enforce the law and lock people up. "Hey, my job is to enforce the law, not to follow the Constitution or use common sense". No matter how dumb the laws are that the politicians pass, they will enforce them.

I guess there's blue, and then there's blue. There are some sheriffs that are still sane, but the cities are gone.

It's not about Glocks or switch's specifically. It's California and it's all about chipping away at every single thing they can think of to make it harder to buy and own guns. They know in 2-5 years it will probably get overturned in court but in the meantime they got away with it and also indoctrinated a few more weak minded people to be even more anti gun to keep pushing their agenda. THAT is what it's all about!
