WOW, this won't be liked, but like most things today, reality and facts hardly ever are anymore!! I'm talking about clueless conspiracy theories, false information, and sadly the guppies will jump on and with no intelligent research "me to" this to death!

I mean do people think about the price of there water bill, sewer, garbage collection, buying a home, a car or truck, gas to drive it, oil to lube it. I don't pay near as much for solvent and lubes for my guns over what I paid 30 years ago! I can buy the same make rifle or revolver new today for less than 250% more than I paid 20 years ago, try that with a fishing rod, reel, house, car, truck, tractor, combine, speed boat, you name it!

If you think your shooting hobbie cost more today than 20 years ago, just be glad your not into hot rods, or drag racing, even fishing! I was a state fishing guide and owned a Lake Erie charter. I can't believe the price of marine fuel today or a new 30' cudy the same quality as I could buy 30 years ago. it's went up far more than the price of gun powder or a new rifle!

Look at what you could buy lures for 10, 20 years ago, and what they cost today, again well over 300% in the past 20 years. Rods Reels again, of the same quality! Shimano, Daiwa, St. Croix, G. Loomis. and truth be told, they are now more likely less quality, and made overseas, but forget a $80 dollar Stradic, today over $220.00 for the same size and similar model.

I could buy a brand new truck in 2000 for $18,000 to a fully loaded 4wd $25,000, today a cheapy stripped down model starts at over $30,000 and loaded 4wd is over $100,000. I recently got rid of my 1999 Suburban, loaded, tow packages, locking diffs, 4wd, leather electric seats mirrors you name it, I still had the window sticker in the console, $41,000 w/o the package discounts. I looked at one new Suburban, $108,000, and was not as HD as my old one. I bought a used HD 1/2 ton 4wd PU. most I ever paid for a used vehicle!

I mean if we take this they're trying to take our guns BS as fact, open your eyes, their after your boats cars and trucks, hell they are trying to outprice our rods and reels to save the fish, they're controlling the population trying to starve us to death with food cost, and freeze us out of our homes with utility bills, making our sewage cost so much we have to quit eating because they are pricing us out to the point we cant take chit,,,, I have a buddy who drill wells, and runs septic systems, they are in excess of 500% what they cost 25 years ago when he took over the family business, but according to him, so has his expenses.

All that makes as much of a point as why we are paying what we are for the shooting sport, luckily, my guns are worth more, and what components I have are worth as much or more than I paid when I bought them. IS YOUR TRUCK? YOUR BOAT? YOUR GARDEN TRACTOR, that CUSTOM ROD or new CARBON DRAG 17 BB reel?

One reason I understand this is because unlike most here crying about sporting goods costing twice as much today as they did 20 years ago, most are making twice as much as they were 20 years ago! I live on a retirement plan, that I had to pay, not this government! That means once I take it, thats all I get the rest of it's life! No cost of living, no bonuses, it is what it was, dam maybe they are trying to run me out of the country,,,,, Wake UP folks! Look at the real world whole picture, maybe you will start to understand how the real world works!

Now don't flame me to bad, but could we think about this a little more responsibly. Can we start blaming a lot of this on those gun owners that support their habits screwing gun owners, driving up cost creating shortages, when they buy every last primer they can, or piece of brass that they know is in high demand, then turn around and price it double what they paid for it! I understand a lot of the price is like everything we use, it just goes up as wages and demand goes up, but we have a lot of wealthy gun owners, that create scarce supply, then go to GB or even here in our own classifieds, and screw their fellow gun owners selling for ridiculous prices because them and others have run the stock down, never intending on using it. But this is greed, and they sure don't want you to quit buying from them!

I can't think of anything other than 2 or 3 kinds of powder I couldn't buy anytime I wanted it, I just had to be willing to bend over and stick it in for the ones selling it. Today even the manufacturers have to loose money, with their cost to provide it going up! They didn't have to pay as much as 1000% more for liability insurance 30 or 40 years ago. But today, most of our fellow Americans just can't wait to sue someone when they make a mistake, or blame the industry because they have the money, and the person that caused the loss doesn't have enough to satisfy their greed and need to get something regardless how they get it!

I look today more at how irresponsible and greedy those around me live and understand why! every thing I do and buy today is what it is, but if you want to blame the government they can be as much as the rest, just do it with a responsible response, and understand, they are just following suite from the American public itself is teaching them.

FULL CIRCLE, BLAZE AWAY, but please point out how anything I SAID IS ANYTHING BUT A FACT! Just please don't sue me, I can't afford that to!

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/u...1&cvid=a16b1ed926a54c5690301808ec6f9f66&ei=32 We will get help from our neighbors to stop some of this stupidity, but they will come along side kicking and screaming. EU is all talk and no ass, you did nothing and started 2 world wars, I would have thought as a unified group you would have done something about Putin long before now. All Talk no action. Trump is right if Nato is so great as Tusk says then get off your dead asses and pay your share! Putin is only as big a problem as the EU has let him be.

Jeez - try living in NZ! Ok - we have Tri-May actions ( Hope to get mine next week), Hardy rifles and barrels , TruFlite Barrels, No local powder or ammo. No NZ primers or match projectiles, The nearest powder manufacturer is in Australia ( and may as well be on the moon, as shipping is just as difficult) and we even buy it back from the US in Hodgdon bottles. We generally pay 20% more for US made projectiles and they are never on "special". Vihtavouri powder is as rare as rocking horse poo and costs the same as moonrocks. Alliant is even dearer. Oddly, I can buy a Kahles scope easier than a Sightron! And we still manage to shoot. Every week.

It is funny to me.

I see all the time, people bringing up the image of Chicken Little.... They seem to remember that story from their childhood. But they seem to have forgotten the story of the Emperor That Had No Clothes....

Brother, there are so many nekked people running around it looks like Woodstock.

My wifey just talked with a liberal friend back east. The poor girl is apoplectic about what Trump is doing. She thinks the world is ending. Here in Texas, some guys are buying Tequila before the price goes up.
I just like watching the “show”. Life will go on. My cupboards are full and I don’t drink! ;)

Add: I think I’ll go down to the local Gibson’s and buy some more H110 for my new lever action carbines. It’s the only thing I’m a little short on.

Yea, the "show" can be entertaining lots of times. But pathetic at others as well.

In trumps first term ammo got so cheap I should have bought a whole freight train full. I bought 40 gr vmax Fiocchi ammo for 14.99 a box free shipping. The same stuff is 40 to 50 now. He used tariffs last time too. Not only was ammo cheap, so was food, housing, cars, gas, and everything else. I have enough of most everything to last until the next election cycle. Maybe if the wars end and we lock up criminals the military and civilian demand on components will go down.

Remember, Elections have consequences. I was just watching the news of the DNC announcing rules to bring more queers into the Democrat party. And when does this Trump resistance policy in these blue states begin to qualify as an insurrection
