Right there with you brotherI have never seen a 1970's Ohaus M5 that needs to be 're-conditioned' or sent back. Mine is still accurate to 2/10th grain = more than you need. And same since new with a few tweaks. hah. And it works as soon as I set it up and check weigh( 2 minutes). I average 25 seconds each charge with a lee plastic thrower and a tricker. KISS
Happy to...sent you a PM.Care to share where you are finding reconditioned fx120i’s?
Totally agree to be on the lookout for scams, but I reached to them in this case.Be careful of scams out there too. Got a voice mail yesterday from Spectrum Cambridge Canada that my account had been set up and if I called this number I would receive a 50% discount.![]()
My question is "why are they having to be reconditioned?"So I plan to jump right into the deep end on buying a scale, but have found a reconditioned unit for less cost.
I have emailed Adam at AT twice and rather than wait on his response, have decided to ask here.
Are there any reasons why I should not buy a reconditioned unit? Programming issues? Hardware considerations? Compatibility with the V4 auto trickler? Something else I haven't considered?
Thanks for any help.
