Well, I’ve been burned. The first time was on shipping on a barrel to a guy in New York State. He needed a shot out, by BR standards, 6mm barrel. I spent the $20.00 for shipping and after 10 years I’m still waiting for the 20 bucks. That was the first time. There have been a few others. Did this break me? No. But I adapted the McDonald mentality. Order, pull up to window 1 to pay and then to window 2 for your order.

Many of us have been burned on here. I was fairly new here and was taken by a known scammer. My fault was I used PayPal friends and family. If I'd have used goods and services, I'd have been ok. Lesson learned. Only 100.00 error. Could have been worse. Better at it now. I've sent out items before payment but ONLY to members I've dealt with or are very good members with great feedback. Most are awesome to deal with

284 You are right. I’ve done a load of trades on here and to mention a few bad eggs is a disservice to this website.

Lesson learned. Only 100.00 error. Could have been worse. Better at it now. I've sent out items before payment but ONLY to members I've dealt with or are very good members with great feedback. Never dealt with anyone like this before. Yesterday I ordered one of his Shadetree front rests. I received an email from him confirming the order and shortly thereafter I received another email telling me that the rest would be sent out on Monday.

That's a very fast turnaround in it's self but he won't receive a check until probably Thursday. I thought there was some mistake so I sent another email asking if he was sending it out prior to receiving payment. He assured me he was. I am flabbergasted. In my 82 years of life, I have never made a purchase where I would receive a product before the funds were in hand.

Good old Texan, does business the old way on a handshake so to speak.

He is such a good guy. He started the fund raising efforts to get my son a smallbore. I didn't ask him, I was just sitting at home looking at what I could sell, or favors I could call in to get him a used one. Was even looking to see if John could use a right handed gun as he does in remfire, but Butch understood where I was with out even knowing me and took it upon himself to take care of John. Butch is a hell of a guy.
