Busted decapping pin

Friends don't let friends decap with a sizing die ...

Even if I decap off my main press - for example, I have a Lee APP with case feeder and a MA Pua decapper with the flicker spring - I like to either keep a decapping pin in the sizing die, or another decapping die somewhere in the tool head, to make sure there isn't any residual tumbling media blocking the flash hole. The exact sequence / order varies somewhat, but that's my preference.

I occasionally reduce the diameters of decapping pins with my belt grinder and hand drill. Works great.
