my buddy has a savage model 12 .223 with a shepherd .223 scope on it and he love his hornady 68gr match bullets out of it but I talked him into trying a 70gr berger with the same powder varget. much to his surprise at 900yds his hornadys hardly made a sound hitting plate. the bergers made plate sound like a church bell and really moved it. the big surprise was he had to take 175yds off his hold. the range record here is held by .223 5 shots into 4.89 @ 905yds!been using the 69 gr smk's to date..would like to try some others
as well. what are some that your finding work well?
now i'm looking at 300 yard shooting,not 100 yards...
most folks talk of minute or angle for 100..also is anyone using h 748
or imr 4320 powders with the 69 grain smk?
