Was testing some powders in my PPC and Waldog this weekend and noticed some of the holes were small round and black and yet others were ragged, some even oblong????
With the Waldog, I loaded up more of the charge that made the small round and black holes and in the calm, mighty small groups but in a breeze, just went with the wind…sort of loosey goosey.
I didn’t try with the PPC
I’ll try post a few pics.

Some don’t even appear round.
So I see what I would call normal bullet holes, ragged bullet holes, oblong bullet holes, and small black bullet holes.
Most of the small holes occurred at lower velocities.
