Built A New Reloading Bench

You do outstanding woodwork, nothing is better than having the right tools and space to do such work.

Excellent work Sir. Metal fabrication comes easily for me but wood and I have never been friends. I envy your abilities and your eye for detail.
When I was active duty a lifetime ago, I was a certified welder. Before I went in the USCG I was Pittsburgh certified for high pressure piping. In the USCG certified on HY80 HT110-C3 and Navy atomic silver braze. X-ray certified along with NDT. Our field was the jack of all trades in the USCG. I used to moon light at Brown and Root in New Orleans building oil rigs when I was stationed there. After the USCG did not eat any more smoke.

Beautiful work, my woodworking skills are almost up to that as long as I can put enough paint on the project.

Simply fantastic! That drawer though...I'd be cussing that thing I know! LOL

Took me 6.5hrs to raise the height of my old reloading bench into a gun cleaning bench! :)

Finished the new bench today, instead of bolting things down I bolted press, powder dump and the case sizer to oak planks. I then can just clamp them in place tried a couple of 45-70 cases and nothing moved everything is solid as a rock. Also, a package showed up today the #1 son and da wife purchased me a new shaker.

Nice job on a solid bench. Im on my 3rd iteration now and feel like i have what works best for my needs now after having used a couple different setups. Everyone has a process and preference and if it works for you then thatts what matters. My first setup was in my small shop. Had moisture issues moved inside with a solid bench. Now at the new house i have a dedicated room built in my shop just for reloading and storing components. I have both above bench shelves and a 52" toolbox on the opposite side of my bench for all the small parts and tools etc. One thing i would reccomend is routering in some aluminum t-track. Makes for a super solid mounting option. I can remove my presses and set out of the way if needed. Also have a gun vice i can attach to the track etc. Really handy option. My bench is 11' long.
