Boring bar for truing action lugs and bolt face

Hey fellas,

I am looking for reccomendations on a good boring bar to true the action lugs of a rem 700. I dont have any boring bars yet. I was just curious as to what you guys use. I have a 3/4 or 5/8 boring bar holder and 1/2 tool holders. I been looking and cant decide which would be best.

There are alot of options. I use a small carbide bar. The micro 100 carbide bars are a good option as well. If going the micro 100 route I wouldn't buy any longer than what is needed. Both are good for preboring when chambering also.

Just curious. Why would you face the lugs. Are they not making good contact?
About the only thing I true on a Remington bolt is the bolt face, and the taking just enough to insure it is true with the body.

Years ago I ground an L shaped tool for bolt faces. It's skinny enough to reach under the extractor.
