22LR chamber work Boring bar!

i do actually! ive had people tell me if im seeing tooling marks its because im doing something wrong. well that just not so. anytime a two pieces of steal make contact there's gonna be evidence of that contact. Just how much evidence is the trick. nothing wrong with using a reamer. i am sure of that as ive seen the resuts on the paper. I spend a lot of time making sure my chambers are as good as possible. this usually means a little elbow grease . I love my craft, and im always looking for an advantage. perhaps the boring bar idea is that advantage and perhaps not? we will soon know. bars are ordered and on there way! Lee

You will still have tool marks with boring bars. Might be beneficial to source inserts with a sharp up sharp to them, geometry found in inserts designed to cut aluminum. You looking to make a finish 16 or better? Burnish tool and experiment...

El Matador, Great video. Have not touched a lathe since retiring, but always interested in the process.
