I see some kind of crack or scratch crossing the grooves and lands nearly completely around the boreSo what is on the picture that you attribute to making the barrel not shoot?
A borescope pretty much only shows you what the target already told youI ordered a scope today. got the one compatible with iPad and iPhone. Hope it does not drive me looney

View attachment 1178056 Here are 3 pics (video didn't work) of a newly reamed 20VarTarg "throat" (Henriksen reamer) in a PacNor 3-groove 1:9" twist barrel. This, and observing cleaning results are about all a bore-scope is good for - it won't tell you much about red, above. Even a nice looking "throat" is not much indication - just makes one, "feel good" regarding the effort.
Cleche, cleche: I've had barrels which appear to have been, "rode hard an put up wet" for a long time, "just keep on ticking", and others show [relatively] little wear and, "keep on ticking", and others which, though they look(ed) great, "just didn't cut it".
Edit: my gripes regarding Teslong: 1) too much light! 2) no swivel connector - much nicer to turn the barrel . . . but, for $50 what can expect! I believe, that since introduction, they have some improvements available. The image quality is every bit as good as my old Hawkey. Bear in mind, these are pics of a computer screen, and they still don't look too shabby!RG
My Telsong has an adjustment on the cable to vary the amount of light, doesn't yours?
as mentioned, there is a light 'volume' control on the cable. however i use mine mostly with the native camera app on a windows computer --- and that app tries to normalize (compensate) for the thumbwheel hanges. luckily the app has an intensity slider and also allows me to save jpgs directly as fast as i can hit the mouse button.my gripes regarding Teslong: 1) too much light!
Roger that - but the rheostat on mine has only only two settings - ON/OFF!My Telsong has an adjustment on the cable to vary the amount of light, doesn't yours?
