I think the main thing that members of the rifle shooting community have in common when it comes to barrel cleaning is that they have absolutely nothing in common.

Has anyone tried Gibbs Oil for cleaning after they got the copper out?

Bought some of the Breakthrough about 2 weeks ago and gave it a whirl. It's supposed to be a foaming bore cleaner but there was no foam that I could see. Put some in the barrel and it was just like pouring water in the barrel, nothing. Scrubbed with a brush (about 20 strokes) patched it out and checked with a bore scope and very little cleaning of the carbon. Finally got the Thorough Clean out and cleaned the bore. Don't waste your money on Breakthrough.
