Books & Websites for Competition shooting & Handloading

Hi guys,

can anyone share some really good books/internet websites that they know of for assembling competition grade cartridges and competition shooting in general. The books should be informative but not a hard to read info-dump like most technical books are.

Please share if you can.

Cheers

+1 on Glen's Hand Loading for Competition. would also recommend Nancy Tompkin's book on Long Range Prone Shooting, and Randolph Constantine's book on High Power Competition. Then the Wind Book for Rifle Shooters (can't remember the author's name, but it is a great resource.)

Then the Wind Book for Rifle Shooters (can't remember the author's name, but it is a great resource.)

Linda Cunningham who alongside her partner Keith Miller (a Canadian who is a US Vietnam war vet in specialist reconnaissance work, and is also a retired Canadian Army major - there can't be many who can put that down on their CV!) owns and runs a rifle range complex and shooting training company located between Ontario and Toronto, Canada.

The book is available on Amazon and is a good buy.

Although caliber specific [the 6PPC], the information and techniques contained in Tony Boyer's new book, The Book of Rifle Accuracy, can be carried forward for enhancing anyone's reloading and competitive skills.

It's available through many book sources including here: http://www.brunoshooters.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=BSS&Product_Code=TBSC

Click on the AccurateShooter Bookstore link above and you'll find a collection including most of the leading books on reloading. NOTE: Be sure to click on the arrows at the bottom of the first page -- there are dozens of books (Most people don't seem to venture past page 1).

We do not have the Boyer book, unfortunately, but I agree it is a very good resource. I also recommend the Ratigan book. Keep in mind, however, that the methods that suffice for these short-range guys may not cut it for long-range shooters. For long range you WILL need to weigh your loads and you need to be very concerned about velocity ES and SD, as well as bullet uniformity.
