That's because I was head coach on the USA Rutland team to win gold at their nationals and silver in the world's, that's why you didn't see my name on the shooters for team. Yes the world f class championships were won with our 7mm, with a lead of 8 points, the largest lead ever at a f class world championship.Newbieshooter, the interview with the world champ was a good read, using a Blake barrel. I presume that BB also used one, maybe others; likely giving the make, both the highest average and absolute finish, at worlds.
If I remember correctly, I did not see that he shot on the SA national team. Perhaps waive his formal tryout or change the law to permit conscription to F-Class team shooting, next time?
Please do send it back. We will scientifically examine every part about it. Including the chambering concentricity. We also will physically shoot it at a minimum of 500 yards as part of the verification process and video it all.I got one in 308 32", 1-10 twist, 1.250, 6 grooves,
60 rounds thru it, I hope it gets better a lot better
most likely will send it back
Aaron,Good barrels. They don't last as long as you'd expect from the "big 3"
Thank you! I appreciate it!Please do send it back. We will scientifically examine every part about it. Including the chambering concentricity. We also will physically shoot it at a minimum of 500 yards as part of the verification process and video it all.
How are their actions?
Aaron,
Why would the barrel have any less life? It looks like he is using standard groove land dimensions and industry standard material. Is there something with the lapping?
Thanks,
Forrest
The material between manufacturers is a lot different than you'd think. They all say 416R... But a Criterion barrel cuts like warm butter, and a brux barrel sounds like you're cutting gravel. They 'aint the same.
I'm not sure I'm gonna agree with that, you use a copper solution to etch a button barrel and then a lube before you pull the button other wise it will break the rod the button is attached too.A button barrel doesn't have to be as hard because the button work hardens the metal around the rifling.
You are sure throwing out lots of claims. Evidence to backup your claims?Sure. They still cut like soft steel.
