Best Pocket Knife

When I was in my very early 20s I tried to carry a three bladed stockman knife in my pocket. That style fitted my needs perfectly. I lost three of them, in seemingly rapid in succession and finally gave up.

I have a plastic handled made in China lock back I got with a Lansky knife sharpening set maybe 30 years ago. Never gets lost.

Same with sun glasses. I buy a good pair that are expensive, they disappear. Or they get broken. I have a cheap pair I got for free with an auto parts store logo on them. About 23 years old and still going strong. I bought myself a nice present, a chronograph watch with a solid titanium case and band. Lost within a year. But I suspect that one was stolen at work.

For my needs right now the best knife is a button locking folding knife with a pocket clip that uses replaceable utility blades. Bright red in color. Came from Lowes or Home Depot. I think it had the Milwaukee brand on it but that wore off.

I had a Case for about...I really don't remember how long I've had it. I don't really use it I just carry it around.

Been carrying one of these for well over a decade. Blade never wears out and I can get a razor edge in about 5 seconds no matter where I am working.

the best knife is the one you actually carry
So true. I cannot carry a knife daily because I go into many govt. buildings etc. But I try to carry one the rest of the time. I was at the post office a few weeks ago. there was a woman having a hard time with a package. It needed surgery of some kind as I recall. I reached for my pocket knife. NO. At home on my kitchen counter. Luckily a guy walked by who did have his knife with him. He saved the day. As Rem06 sez, ...the one you actually carry.

Ì don't carry this one but its my favorite out of a couple 100 knifes I have

My every day walk around knife is a standard little red Victorinox pocket knife or a little cheaper Kershaw that im not afraid to lose, these new non USA made Kershaw's are sh$t .
that Puma model has gone crazy pricewise. I bought a Cub a few years at a gun show. 20$. mint condition. wood handle. lucky find.

Have a Puma wife got me years ago in Germany Stag Handles.
Rockwell tested Blade.
Gut a Elk like Butter . Keep it in the Hunting Box.

Have gone thru many Gerber's , drop them off in strange places.
Others get to enjoy them.

Your Wecome

Carry two folders, a Buck and a Benchmade tanto. Both sustain heavy use, sharpen easily and keep an edge.
Gutted a buck with my Buck last fall.

I’m an older guy. If I have my pants on, I have a knife. I have carried the same Benchmade Axis folder clipped on my right front pocket for the last 20+ years. Left front pocket is a small, single blade folder - currently a Puma, but it fluctuates. I, like lots of people, have accumulated too many and swap this one out occasionally. The Benchmade (yes, I am aware of all the history) has been rock solid and done things it should not have. I will carry it as long as we last.
