Best hand priming tool?

My search found threads a few to many years old. I know things change and new things come out. I can only consider a HAND priming tool, much as I wish I had a nice room to set up a good bench setup. So, what is the current best hand priming tool for a brand new never did it before person? Thanks in advance for the many helpful replies that always occur.

Don't buy a Lyman. I did and now after very little use it will not set a primer below the head of the case. It sticks out a few thousands above the shell head and I tried different shell holder and still does the same thing. A very unsafe tool to leave that happen.

So with the 21st each time you change calibers (shell holders) you have to go through the adjustment process to get it set correctly again?

I presume you can seat for .32 S&W Long, .32 H&R Magnum and .327 Federal Magnum without any changes since they are the same case base just different OAL? Oh, and .223 also uses the #4 shell holder.

But for zero re-adjustment I'd need two of them, one with a #4 for all my now and future cases except for one with the H holder for my .22 Hornet.

I have the Sinclair. Purchased a bunch of .001" shims to help with fast seating depth adjustment.
Also I printed a 3D base for it. The base helps with fatigue.
Is the file to print this base available online? I have a Sinclair primer and would like to try that base for it.

I've used this for years ... it's awesome.
^^^^^^^^^^ This. No way I'd want to use a hand primer where you'd have to load each primer into it, singly. The Frankford is terrific.

Same experience I had with one

I don’t like primer seaters with a hard stop. I use the PMA seater. You can adjust it to “stop” where ever your grip is comfortable as the seating process is ending. I still go by feel which IS the best process for me at this time. Everyone has their own favorite and there are lots of different options out there. I just wish the PMA had a way to feed primers automatically.

Have used the Lyman Universal for many years and love it. But I did grab a used K&M hand primer tool, It is well built, Works nicely, does require shell holders. I use it for my long range prone loads and since I only load 100-200 at a time I do not mind the handling of the primers for this tool.

I like the 21st Century. I crank it down till the dead stop will not work, then seat by feel. Once that is established, in my uniformed pockets, I set the click-adjustable feature to the depth, then I am good to go.

Regards
Rick

I love my RCBS
Plenty of leverage that doesnt fatigue the hand
The cheap Lee's break and dont have enough leverage... so skip the Lee if you were at all considering one
