Anybody tried the Sinclair priming tool?

Ive used one for 20yrs now

The Sinclair priming tool is a nice piece. I have a hard time seeing how you can go any faster with a Century 21 or any priming tool with or without an attached trey. Anybody want to measure the most cases primed a 2-5 min race?

Great news I think ! I just got off the phone with John at 21st Century and he's making a new hand primer that uses the Lee square trays. It's a new stainless steel model. It's not up on the site yet ( I believe he said the tech dept is on vacation ) but give him a call if it's what you're looking for.

Anyone try the new Lyman hand primer? I was going to try one, but it looks like one would need to tilt the tool toward the face for the primers to feed.
I bought this at Camp Perry this year on vendor's row. (Champion Shooters). Excellent tool, worth every penny. Solid and crisp. No, you don't point it that way!! You point it away from your face (turn it around in your hand!)

Im in. Wish it took an rcbs tray and regular shell holders tho but as good as the rest of your stuff is count me in

I've tried most-RCBS,Lee, Sinclair, K&M. Nothing tried has even came close to the 21st Century. A little costly but worth every penny and it will last you a lifetime.

I've found it takes me just as long, if not longer, to load a primer tray (or tube) and shake primers from the tray into the device, as it does to dump in a bowl, grab and go. Less than 1 second per primer to grab them. I have a 21st century (and a Hornady, and a Forester...).

Lee - Sucks
RCBS - Sucks and broke
Hornady - Sucks and broke very quickly
K&M - Awesome! :D Still going strong after thousands of rounds. Great "feel".

21st Century was my next purchase, but seemingly wont be needed at this point.

I threw away my old Lee primer tools years ago, after hearing stories about exploding primers in the tray.
Why take chance on losing your sight? I bought a K&M and love it. I open a box of primers, drop about the number I need in a deli cup and pick em up one at a time. Easy, even with neuropathy in both hands.

I just got the new tray fed variety and its just as good with the handiness of a tray fed priming tool that works.
Glad to hear that it's works good. John makes great stuff! I was thinking about getting one, but I guess I'll just stick with the older non tray one that I have.

Well I've used my k&m some now. Nice tool that will last though I have a couple quirks with it. The handle could be more ergonomic. Thats the biggest fault. Second it would be nice to change between small and large primers without having to unscrew the head. Other than that nice seater for the price.

I hear about primer trays exploding but I have never met or know of an actual incident. I punch out live primers all the time with no problem and my understanding of primers is that it takes a hard and fast blow to set one off. Is primers exploding in the tray a myth ? How do you set off a primer with a hand primer ?
I have had a primer go off it was in the hornady hand held tool , I'm a big fan for the RCBS that don't take she'll holders. Done a few thousand with out a bang.
But that just my 2 cents

I was sure mine is steel. It wouldn't be hard to make a wood handle and attach to make it longer and easier on the hand. Matt
