for less work option, would sorting by weight get close to what you are doing with different measurements?

I discarded weighing as not worth the effort . That being said, if going to a shoot I would really like to win I will weigh those bullets. I did it for one shoot last year just to eliminate an outlier.

I had a couple boxes of Berger WEB BRs that shot consistently under 1/4” at 100y in my Sako 6PPC. Couldn’t get any more of that lot though, fun while it lasted. I think that’s the bullet I used to splat my first fly at 100y.

Nosler .375 Partition 300 gr gets my vote for best bullet when protecting your lunch.

**PS: What I forgot to mention was that this bullet, out of my Remington 700 .375 H&H stainless "Guide" model (short barrel), shot 3 round cloverleaf groups, all touching. In a moment of weakness, I sold this to a gent from Kenai, Alaska, who needed it much worse than I did.

Now that is one nice looking bear.

Nosler ballistic tip 115 grain in my 25-06. 1/2" groups and they kill deer real good.

I made a .308 size 5 shot group at 200 meters once with 22caliber 90 gr bergers. I had to take a shot a couple inches out of the group to see if I was still on paper. My favorite long range is the 245 berger elite. I don’t shoot either one any more because everyone else found them to be accurate as well so I switched

To date:
In 6XC, 6mm 107 SMK out to 1000 yds in a 1:8 twist barrel.
In 6.5x284, 6.5 mm 142 SMK at out to 1200 yards in a 1:8 twist barrel.
In .308, 30 cal. 155 SMK (2155 or 2156) out to 1000 yds in a 1:13 twist barrel

All of these shot 5 shot one-hole groups at 100 yds and, loads were not difficult to develop....
