Best Bolt Grease?

Whats in the garage?? I like white grease anywhere from 3 to 8 dollars for a 12oz tube. you can fill a syringe many times if needed. Alot of pharmacy will give you one if you ask with out a needle. Sometimes they have them on the counter for cold meds for children. Or you can buy some. And still be under 20 dollars for that .5 oz tube you got screwed on.

Just becuse its an old thread, does not make it worthless, lots of technology changes thru the years.!
TW25B not only a good lube , the carbon left on the bolt carrier group and the firing pin wipes off with a paper towel. Makes cleaning simple.

Been contemplating a change in the bolt grease department. I figure this will be all over the place but curious what the "Top Guns" are currently using.

Wheel bearing grease. Excellent for sliding high contact pressure.

Oh yeah, it's expensive, but you won't gall the lugs with it. Brake Cleen won't wash it off, and solvent has a hard time with it. I used to use it on the drive couplers on the Top Fuel and Nitro Funny Cars I worked on, and never galled a coupler one time in 13 years with it. Moly grease was the only other lube that would work, and you had to put it on every run, and had to grind off welded portions of the couplers even at that. With Krytox, you put it on once before qualifying, made 4 runs, then again on raceday and never had to mess with it all day.

A little Mobile 1 chassis grease n u will be fine. Have used it for years with no issues on bolt lugs.
