Best Barrel for 6XC

I am going to have a 6XC built mostly for practice and I want it to be crazy accurate so I know it is me causing the errant shot and not the gun. I have used Bartlein barrels for my other projects and been happy with them, but never a 6mm. Is there a barrel maker known for making a more accurate 6mm barrel? In the 6mm size should I go 4 groove conventional rifling or 5R? I plan on shooting the new 115gr DTAC but will use the 105 berger hybrid and 107 SMK as back up plans. I would like to have a 7.3 twist if possible (fully stabilized 115gr berger on their twist calculator) but would settle for a 7.5 twist if necessary.

Bartlein, brux, kreiger, hawk hill... pick one...

And add, X-calibur, Hart, Lilja, and Shilen select match to those.

Ask your intended 'smith for his suggestions on barrels. He should be comfortable with the decision as well. JME. WD

Brux, Muller, Kreiger, Bartlein, Broughton, BUT don't go for one of the johnny come lately barrel companies at a cut rate "introductory" price. In my experience, they're a crapshoot.

I am going to say I have a Pac Nor 4 groove .236 bore 1-8 twist and it shoots GREAT!
I also have a Brux 1-7 that shoot's great
both 6XC's
any of the top Barrel's should shoot well enough to satisfy you.
but I understand you are trying to get hummer's like mine.
I have had good luck with several Pac Nor's shooting very well. I decided to try a Brux due to had I had a few friends who had good shooting ones so I ordered a Brux in a full 1-7 twist to try it and it shoots as well as anything I have ever shot. in 6XC of course.

Brux is excellent and I've used there customer service. They are top notch. They replace no questions asked. I've won with there bbl's.

One other that hasn't been mentioned and I personally like too.
Benchmark Barrels

Kreiger 4 groove for the win. :D Lilja makes a great tomato stake. Based on my personal experience.

When I read that about Lilja it makes me feel like a really lucky shooter or something. I have 4 of them. 2 are hunting rifles (6xc and 6.5-06). 2 competition rifles, one is a 6ppc, and one is a 6br. All 4 shoot very well, clean up easily and barrel life is no worse than the other barrel makers I have in the safe or on the shelf which are Kreigers, Hart, and Shilen. JME. WD ;)
