Best 6mm bullet for 500 to 1000 yards

Everyone with the 105 Hybrids, what is the barrel twist you are using? Since Berger lists a 7" twist needed, I have yet to pull the trigger on them.
The RPR has a 7.75" twist barrel which yields 1.54 Sg at sea level, which is fine. I believe the prior twist recommendation was due to truncation (more conservative). I assume they are now rounding to the nearest integer value.

Just for information sake, My 6x47L is chambered in a Bartlein 1-7.5 twist barrel. As stated earlier, the 105 Berger Hybrid shoots very well out of this barrel! And, yes, the only bullet I've tried. It has worked so well, I've got about 1300 left....... I got a bit worried earlier this year when they were scarce, so I stocked up, & ordered that last 1K......... Ha Ha Ha......

Anyone doing good things with the 110 SMK?
I'm running the 110 smk in my xc. 38.5 gr h4350. Wolf primer. Norma brass. 2960 fps. I ran 6 random rounds over a magnetospeed to verify velocity before a match the next day...es of 3 sd of 1. Legitimate .2 -.3 gun.

Working up loads for the 6 CM and loading Berger 105 VLD hunting and Hornady 103 ELDX Loading in .2gn incriments Took the best of both groups yesterday and loaded more today.
With the Berger at 41.5 gn of H4350 and with the Hornady at 40.8gn of H 4350 for the best groups at 100 yds.The Berger averaged 3145 with es of 7 and sd 5.0 and Hornady 3133.with es 3 and sd of 1.4. Berger had the tightest group of 3/8". Hornady at 1" , 3 shot groups at 100 yds. Had to load to Oal OF 2.77 to keep from getting jammed to where the bolt wouldn't come back with out a good whack
Working dope sheets for both showed clicks were the same out to 750 yds and then at 800 1 click diff and at 1000 it was 2 click diff. Barrel is a 26" proof with 7.5 twist on a trued Remington action'
maybe a little less coffee would have helped.

115 DTACs for me. Easy to tune and solid availability.[/QUOTE]
I'm so wondering no mention of the 111 D-TACS by Tubb?

I have a ready to go 6mm Competition Match barrel just waiting, not my first. I have enough older pointed DTAC'S to wear it out. Before I do this I believe I will buy the RBT DTAC.

Me too. I have about 5K of the new bullets on the shelf waiting for me to use up all my old ones.

I wish you guys would quit promoting the 115Dtac's let everyone else enjoy their yellow boxes and green boxes and I'll just keep stacking them in the X-ring with my 6 Comp Match and 115Dtacs.

What are peoples opinions on the most accurate and easiest to tune 6mm bullet to shoot for those distances between 500 and 1000 yards. The rifle will be a 6mm Creedmoor or 6 xc with a barrel length of around 26 ". Which are the brands, types and weight best suited.
Thanks in advance.
I find that Sierras 107 bthp will shoot extremely well at high volocities,
Berger 108 bt target are very difinitive when testing, they are easy to tune and read.
Lapua 105 Senars are not talked about a lot anymore however they are an excellent projectile very consistent also they run well at higher volocities
In addition my friend has good luck with 105 A Max
Just my findings of course

I used to think JLKs were the shisnit but then I loaded some 105VLDHs up for my wife and they shot equally well out of her Cweedmoor.

I've had very good luck with the Berger 105 Hybrids out of my 6x47L! But, I must be honest, it's the only bullet i've shot through that rifle :) ........
I have a 6.5x47 and love it, so am looking at building a 6x47L , what is the barrel life like. and what is your opinion of the round. Thanks Bulletbob

I have shot a few thousand of the original 115 DTAC at 1000yds and they were very easy to tune in my 6XC barrels. I have shot the Clinch River (106gr?) at 1000yd in the 6XC also and shot the the highest X-count of my life. So...the 115 and 105 class bullets are both good for 1000yds.

The new DTAC 115 RBT bullets are WAAAAAAY better than the older ones and the older ones were great.
